Tcs-exhumations

St James Gardens, Euston, London

As part of the largest archaeological exhumation project in the UK, TCS provided a huge team of exhumation specialists to the project and worked alongside Mola-Headland Infrastructure on behalf of CSJV (Costain Skanska Joint Venture) to exhume over 30,000 remains including over 300 lead lined coffins from the 18th century cemetery. The project was completed under the largest temporary structure built in Europe and a large range of skill sets were used to complete the challenging project. Trial holes and some boundary locations were exhumed in the confines of cofferdams making the exhumation even more challenging. TCS managed all storage and handling of remains along with transportation and reinternment to the final resting place.
